The Plantar Test Instrument is designed for measuring data in pharmacological analgesic experiments. It applies focused thermal radiation energy to the tail or paw of animals, observing their tail flick (or foot withdrawal) behavior, and records the time from the start of heating to the tail flick (or foot withdrawal) to assess drug efficacy, understand drug action duration, and drug patterns. It is designed for measuring the paw withdrawal latency time of rats and mice in a free state under thermal stimulation.
