Cuproptosis, which name is nominated in March 2022, is a novel mechanism of regulated cell death .This copper-dependent death occurs by means of direct binding of copper to lipoylated components of the TCA cycle, which results in lipoylated protein aggregation and subsequent iron-sulfur cluster protein loss and leads to proteotoxic stress and ultimately cell death.Elabscience ® independently developed detection kits for cell copper, glutathione, and other indicators to assist in copper death research.
